Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the standards expected when using Beat The Property Agent™ (“BTPA”).

It applies to buyers, sellers, property professionals and other registered users.

Our Principle

BTPA exists to create a more transparent, informed and collaborative property journey.

Users are therefore expected to act honestly, lawfully and respectfully.

You Must Not

You must not use BTPA to:

  • provide deliberately false or misleading information;
  • advertise a property you do not own or have authority to advertise;
  • create fake accounts;
  • impersonate another person or organisation;
  • misrepresent your identity, qualifications or professional status;
  • misrepresent your financial or buying position;
  • conceal material property information deliberately;
  • commit or facilitate fraud;
  • harass, threaten, intimidate or abuse another user;
  • discriminate unlawfully;
  • send unsolicited commercial messages or spam;
  • harvest contact information;
  • upload malicious software;
  • interfere with the security or operation of BTPA;
  • attempt unauthorised access to another user’s account;
  • misuse confidential information;
  • infringe intellectual property rights;
  • upload unlawful, defamatory or deceptive content; or
  • use BTPA to facilitate illegal activity.

Property Listings

Property photographs and descriptions should represent the property fairly.

Images must not be manipulated in a way that materially misrepresents the property’s appearance, size, condition or features.

Users must not use digitally created or altered content to invent features that do not exist.

Information relevant to a buyer’s decision should not knowingly be concealed.

Messaging

BTPA’s messaging facilities are provided to facilitate legitimate property-related communication.

Messages must not be used for harassment, abuse, spam, scams or unrelated commercial solicitation.

Users should never send passwords or unnecessary sensitive financial information through messaging facilities.

Property Professionals

Professionals must accurately represent:

  • qualifications;
  • professional memberships;
  • regulatory status;
  • insurance;
  • business identity;
  • experience; and
  • services offered.

A professional must notify BTPA if information displayed within their profile becomes materially inaccurate.

Security

Users must not attempt to:

  • bypass platform security;
  • access another user’s private information;
  • probe BTPA systems for vulnerabilities without authorisation;
  • introduce malicious code;
  • interfere with platform availability; or
  • automate access in a manner prohibited by BTPA.

Reporting Concerns

Users are encouraged to report suspicious listings, fraudulent activity, inappropriate behaviour or inaccurate professional information to:

hello@beatthepropertyagent.com

Enforcement

Depending upon the seriousness of a breach, BTPA may:

  • issue a warning;
  • remove content;
  • restrict functionality;
  • suspend an account;
  • remove a listing;
  • remove a professional profile;
  • terminate an account; or
  • report suspected criminal activity to appropriate authorities.

We may take immediate action where necessary to protect users or platform security.
